Plain-language rules for using FreeBeg. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them.

The rules

1. Be honest. Your request must be true, for you or your household, and say what the money is for.
2. One open request at a time, up to 3 in 30 days, and post a thank-you when people help.
3. Only your own payment accounts. Every payment method on your account must belong to you.
4. No ads, spam, links to other sites, or recruiting — including work-from-home offers, investment schemes and “money flips.”
5. Be kind. No harassment, hate, threats, or pressuring people to give.
6. No private information — yours or anyone else's: bank or card numbers, Social Security numbers, home addresses, ID photos.
7. One account per person.

Moderators may edit, hold or remove requests and notes, add warning labels, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Money

FreeBeg is a free listing site. We don't process, hold, transfer or guarantee any money, and we can't issue refunds. Gifts go directly between people through third-party services like Cash App, Venmo and PayPal, under those services' own terms. Gifts are voluntary and generally aren't tax-deductible.

No guarantees

We review some requests and act on reports, but we can't verify anyone's story. FreeBeg is provided “as is,” and you use it at your own risk. FreeBeg isn't responsible for any loss from gifts made or received through the site.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you let FreeBeg display it on the site and in share previews. You can ask us to remove it through the contact form.

Changes

We may update these rules. The current version is always on this page.
