I just need Help
I've never been someone who finds it easy to ask for help. In fact, I've spent most of my life being the person who just figures things out, no matter how difficult things get. But I've reached a point in my life where I honestly don't know how much longer I can keep going the way I have been.
I'm 44 years old, and I've worked hard my entire adult life. I spent 19 years working in banking before my life took some unexpected turns. I've experienced tremendous loss, struggled with my health, and gone through some of the most emotionally difficult years of my life. Despite everything, I kept getting up, going to work, and doing what needed to be done.
After leaving banking, I started a new chapter working in the restaurant industry, eventually becoming a general manager. It's a demanding job with long hours, endless responsibilities, and very little time to take care of myself. But I've continued to give it everything I have because that's just who I am.
What most people don't see is what happens behind the scenes.
For years, I've been struggling with ongoing medical problems that have significantly affected my quality of life. I deal with severe gastrointestinal issues, frequent illness, and other health concerns that have required numerous doctors, tests, and procedures. There are days when even eating or drinking something as simple as water can make me sick.
I've also dealt with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and the emotional toll of losing people and pets I've loved deeply. There have been times when I've felt completely overwhelmed, but somehow I've always found a way to keep moving forward.
The truth is, I'm exhausted.
Not just tired from working long hours, but physically and emotionally exhausted from trying to maintain a normal life while my body continues to struggle.
I've always believed that if I just worked harder, pushed through the pain, and stayed determined, things would eventually get better. But I'm beginning to realize that I can't keep sacrificing my health just to survive financially.
I have rent, a car payment, insurance, medical expenses, and everyday bills just like everyone else. I don't have the financial freedom to simply stop working and focus on getting better, even though that's what I desperately need.
And that's the hardest part.
I want to work. I want to be independent. I want to feel healthy again. I want to wake up in the morning without wondering how I'm going to make it through another day.
But right now, I need help.
I'm asking for financial assistance so I can have some breathing room, continue addressing my medical issues, and hopefully give myself the opportunity to recover without the constant fear of falling behind on my bills or losing everything I've worked so hard to maintain.
This isn't something I ever imagined myself doing. Asking strangers, friends, or family for financial help is incredibly difficult for me. I've always taken pride in being self-sufficient.
But sometimes even the strongest, hardest-working people reach a point where they can't do everything alone.
If you're able to contribute, no matter how small, I would be incredibly grateful. And if you can't, simply sharing my story would mean more than you know.
I'm not asking for a luxurious life. I'm just asking for a chance to catch my breath, take care of my health, and find my way back to a place where I'm not constantly struggling just to get through each day.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for understanding, and for any kindness you're willing to share.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
