Need help with rent urgently

To make a long story short, my ex girlfriend cheated on me and then kicked me out of our apartment. This forced me to have to leave my job with no savings and move two hours away back home with my parents. Unfortunately for me, my name is still on the lease so I have to pay my part of the rent which is 1000.00 dollars. My ex refuses to pay, my parents cannot help as they have medical debt from my Dad and neither can other family or friends. The leasing agency is aware I am no longer living there but they do not care and are threatening to send the payment to collections and send me a notice to quit. Any help would be greatly appreciated
