Please help me to help my best friend's family!

My best friend and her family have moved to NC and since being here they have been down on their luck. She is on disability and her boyfriend has no transportation to work since their vehicle was stolen and then the transmission blew. I live with them and watch them and the kids stuggle to pay bills and buy food. They barely have anything and anything to help would be greatly appreciated.
