Help Me Buy a Bike
#1
Dear Sir/Madam,
Dear Kind-Hearted Souls,

With a heart full of sorrow, I write this letter as a desperate mother who is struggling to hold her family together during an unbearably difficult time.

I am the mother of two small children, and every day feels like a battle just to meet our basic needs. My husband is gravely ill and cannot work or even assist in simple daily tasks. The weight of every burden—caring for our children, keeping our home, and trying to provide a future for them—rests entirely on my shoulders.

Among the many struggles we face, transportation has become one of the hardest. We do not own a vehicle, and I am forced to walk long distances with my children, no matter the weather—through rain, heat, and exhaustion. These walks are painful, especially when my children are tired or unwell, and time is never on our side. I often wonder how long I can keep doing this.

That is why, with deep humility and tears in my eyes, I am pleading for your help to buy a simple bicycle. Just a basic, reliable bicycle with a child seat or carrier—nothing extravagant, only something that can ease our daily suffering. It would allow me to take my children to school safely and punctually, and help with errands like grocery shopping and clinic visits, which now feel almost impossible.

The total cost, including essential safety accessories, is around $1800. I know it may not seem like much to some, but for us, it is far beyond what I can manage. Your help—no matter how small—could change our lives. It could bring relief, hope, and the chance to breathe a little easier.
I try every day to stay strong for my children. I smile when I want to cry. I walk when my legs can barely carry me. I hold on because I have no choice. But I can’t do this alone anymore.

If you can offer any support—through a donation or simply by sharing my story—I will be forever grateful.

Thank you for reading this letter and for having the compassion to listen to a mother’s silent cries. Your kindness could mean the world to two children and a mother who just wants to give them a better life.

With deep gratitude and hope,
AMD Kumari
