Hello everyone,
My name is Olivia, and I work as an EMT for FDNY EMS. While I love my job and take pride in serving my community, the pay scale for our profession often falls short of what is needed to cover basic living expenses. Like many others, I am struggling to balance my paychecks with the rising cost of living.
Currently, my bills outweigh my income, and I am facing over $20,000 in credit card debt. This debt has made it incredibly difficult to save for the future I’ve dreamed of—building a life with my boyfriend, starting a family, and creating a stable foundation for us to thrive.
