Hi there. This is my first time doing something like this so I'm a bit nervous but here goes!
I am a 40 year old wife and Mum to 2 children; a 6 year old little girl and 2 year old little boy. A few months ago I finished intensive treatment for triple negative breast cancer for the second time. Those of you that know about breast cancer will know that triple negative is the most aggressive and likely to recur of all of the breast cancer types.
I was first diagnosed in 2019 when my daughter was 5 months old and I myself was 35. I have no genetic or lifestyle risk factors, and believe that it was brought on by the trauma of the loss of my first son, my daughters twin brother, 5 months before. I had chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy and then 6 months of oral chemotherapy to finish off. It took a long time to recover after that, both physically and mentally. Cancer never truly leaves you. But my daughter gave me the courage to pick up the pieces of my life, and our miracle baby boy came along 2 years later.
4 and a half years later however, the fucker returned. This time it reared its ugly head 6 months after my daughters diagnosis of autism. Apparently my body is a bit dramatic when it comes to stress. Again I went through surgery and a gruelling 5 months of chemotherapy. With now 2 young and active children, it was the most challenging time of my life. I ploughed on forwards and started a business during treatment, as had always been the plan, but my income took a hit. My husband was also signed off work with depression, due to the pressures of being faced with raising 2 young children on his own.
We don't know what the future holds, but for now I am out of treatment and healing. We are working to get back on our feet while our business takes off, but struggling a little in the meantime. If you would like to help give us a much needed leg up towards a more secure life for my family, our Paypal link is https://paypal.me/Gemmaandfamily?country.x=FR&locale.x=en_US
Thanks so much in advance,
