Saving for a baby!

Hi, my name is Hayley and my husband and I have been married for nearly a year now. We’d love to start trying for a family but have found that maternity pay just won’t cover our mortgage and basic bills and will leave us around £5000 short, and that’s after working out what we are able to save! This has completely devastated us as there is nothing we want more than to have a baby but don’t want to put ourselves in financial peril and then not be able to provide for our little one. Obviously £5000 is a very large sum of money, so i would never expect anyone to be so generous to donate all of that! But anything that could help us would be so so appreciated
