Hello All,
I am a 22 year old aspiring Lawyer living in California. The coronavirus pandemic has claimed the lives of both of my grandparents, the two people who raised me from young. I'm now on my own for the first time in my life. Nonetheless, I still managed to finish school with a 4.0 GPA and receive my Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. I was accepted and plan to attend the CUNY School of Law in New York City. I just know my grandparents would've been proud of me.
This is my situation. I start my 1L (1st year of school) in January. The total cost of my tuition is $26, 203. Financial Aid has helped me bring that down to $15,213. I lost my job thanks to the pandemic, and after paying for both my grandparents funerals, maintaining the rent and everything else I need to survive, I can barely afford the cost. I get literally nothing from unemployment either ($97/week). My tuition is due by November 1st, so I am asking for literally ANYTHING to help me. Please! I just want to make my grandparents proud. They were so excited for me to attend law school, and I ended up having to use all the money they saved for me to bury them. ALL is appreciated. Thank you SO MUCH for reading.
