Dear reader,
I am an ordinary professional woman who lost everything a few years ago in the process of getting free from an abusive relationship.
While I have worked hard to rebuild my life, my efforts were until recently undermined by drinking excessively to cope with stress.
I am now teetotal for four months and have great support for my sobriety; however, the debts I ran up in connection with my former habits are now threatening this new life.
I budget very carefully and live as frugally as possible, however I will still be unable to meet my responsibilities for the next six months and risk being evicted from my home.
My elderly parents live overseas and are unable to help. I am in good employment but still struggling.
Any help would be much appreciated.
