$1,500 emergency help for food, housing and winter essentials
We are a couple in a serious financial crisis, and we urgently need help with food, keeping a roof over our heads, and warm clothing.
For almost a month, we previously had no stable place to live and had to sleep outside. We eventually found work and believed we finally had a chance to rebuild our lives.
Unfortunately, when that employment ended, we received significantly less money than we had been promised or had agreed upon before starting work.
Most of what we had left went toward securing a temporary roof over our heads because we were terrified of becoming homeless again.
Now we have reached a critical point.
We have almost no money left for food. What remains is barely enough for the cheapest basics such as bread. We cannot afford normal groceries or enough nutritious meals, and I am already beginning to feel physically worse from not eating properly.
It is also getting colder, while most of the clothes we have are summer clothes. We need basic warm clothes and shoes.
We are asking for $1,500 because it would give the two of us an emergency safety net for food, housing and basic winter necessities while we continue trying to rebuild our income.
We are not asking anyone to fund luxuries or a lifestyle. We are asking for enough time and security to get through this crisis without going hungry or losing our roof again.
Any amount helps. $5 can buy basic food. $10 or $20 can make a real difference to us right now.
Thank you for reading our story and for any help you can give us.
