Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this post. This year has been extremely hard due to the pandemic. I've been a resident of North Carolina for a year now leaving the very expensive New York City to live better. In the process of doing so, I have no family down here and live alone. I recently got a new job in the Health Care Industry assisting customers with their benefits and helping people is something I truly enjoy. Recently this same month the very job that hired me needed more workers due to Covid, having laid off due to the company hiring over their quota. It saddens me that I must reach out this way. I have exhausted all my options in trying to meet my rent for February 1st! My family in the city is limited with financial resources due to the passing of my grandaunt and grandpa. They are unable to assist, I talked with my Credit card bank and was rejected for a small loan due to lack of seniority with my credit line. I've reached out to friends, and no one can help me. I've talked with my leasing manager and sadly they won't allow an extension or payment plan for me to owe them so I can stay in my unit while I wait to hear back from the jobs I've applied to. Through these Covid times, there is no longer a CDC nor any state eviction moratorium in effect to have me stay in my apt.  I have been dealing with extreme anxiety and very depressed feelings about what will happen, everything happened so fast I just lost my job on January 7th. I stay up late nights and into the mornings applying for jobs. I'm 27 years old first time making it on my own and I don't even feel accomplished, I feel so depleted. I've attached my rent statement to this post. Please if anyone can find kindness in their hearts to help, you will never truly know how deeply appreciative I would be! I truly need help; this is not a scam by any means to take people’s money!  I’m trying to stay positive and see the light in this dark tunnel. “Life is a long lesson in humility.” Even if I’m unable to receive the whole amount I’m still grateful for anything.

This letter is a formal appeal to you for help with the tuition fees to complete my University education. My name is Precious, a 23 year old girl from a small town in SA called Bethlehem. Life hasn’t been easy since we are a family of three and my mom is unemployed, we lived off from $90 from government grant. Luckily, in 2019 I was fortunate enough to land a bursary from the Government, which was enough to fund my tuition fees until I complete the course (3 years) and genuinely believed that my family situation will never be the same.
However, things turned for the worst in 2020 when my mother was diagnosed with corona Virus. I had to look after both my mom and my younger sister because they had no one but me, I had to make sure there are food in the house, my mom gets medication and my younger sister attend school. That is when I got a temporary retail job to support my family, for the first time in my life I felt like the world fell on my shoulder, I did not know who to turn to, did everything in my power to better the situation but I could not just do it on my own, at the same time I could not disappoint my mom so I went all out for them.

As a result I fell into deep depression and anxiety, I could not focus on my studies, failed and lost the bursary. By God’s grace I eventually gathered the strength to contact my school psychologist (George), religiously attended my session and claimed my life back. 

To complete my last year of University I need $6589,44, but any amount donated will be highly appreciated. I will continue to apply for grants and scholarships as well as financial aid for this year, but am requesting you to help me through this difficult time, so I don’t have to drop out of University. Please help me to change my family financial struggle and make my mother proud.

hello I am in desperate need for help to pay for my university fees. I had a difficult time last year academically as I struggled to keep up with the second year work using online learning. i was depressed and ended up performing very poorly at school. I failed to meet the minimum requirements for readmission and got academically and financially excluded. I was able to appeal my case to the school and proved that i was really struggling and i did try my best to work as hard as I could, fortunately I got readmitted and permitted to register for the 2022 academic year which commences on Feb the 28th. unfortunately I still lost my bursary and i can not use my results from the past year to apply for a new one as they are not good. my plan is to work extremely hard during the first semester and use those results to apply for bursaries. some of you may be asking what will be different this year, how will i make sure that I avoid failing? well, i have already hit rock bottom and the only way for me now is up. I was neglecting my mental health before and now I have joined a monitored school program that will see to it that I receive counseling on a regular basis. the school is also moving towards a blended way of learning which will ease the burden for me as I found learning online to be very challenging. i believe all of that and extra determination on my end will help me to do well this year.

Hello everyone! I am going to be very honest with you I am requesting for help to pay off my personal debt. I am from the Philippines, a seafarer cadet by profession, I only earn enough to support my family. I am asking for help because last December 2020, I was sent home because of an illness. The company was great but the side effects of medicine had me staying in isolation and in steroid medication for a long time. I developed hypoglycemia, and needs to eat at least every hour or else I would vomit or shake or pass out. I don't want to burden my parents because of this because they are farmers and we only get by, so I did the stupidest thing I could have done. I trusted and borrowed funds from online lending apps. To make the long story short, I racked up 4000usd of debt before I was healed. I thought i could pay them already but fate dealt me with another hand, the typhoon (internationally named Rai), that destroyed our livelihood. Right now, I am waiting to go back on the ship and work again but I am being pressured by the loan sharks to pay my debt or they would call my company (which would mean unemployment for me).
