I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a deep sense of vulnerability, as I have completely exhausted every resource and option available to me. Life has taken an unexpected and devastating turn, and I find myself in a position where I have no choice but to ask for help.  

#### The Beginning of Hardship  

It all started when I lost my job during the COVID pandemic—something no one could have ever prepared for. At the time, I did everything I could to stay afloat. I drained my **401k**, emptied all of my savings, and maxed out every credit card I had just to keep a roof over my head. I kept telling myself that things would get better, but as the months passed, my financial situation only worsened.  

When I had no other choice, I turned to gig work to survive. I worked tirelessly for **Uber, DoorDash, GrubHub, Amazon delivery**, and similar platforms, putting in countless hours just to scrape together enough to cover the bare minimum. But these gigs turned out to be more of a **loss than gain**. With **skyrocketing gas prices**, **non-tipping customers**, and operating in an area where people frequently **file fraudulent complaints** to get free services? I found myself losing money instead of earning it.    

The situation hit a breaking point after I experienced **three not-at-fault car accidents** while driving for Uber. These accidents not only totaled my car but also left me with mounting expenses I simply couldn’t afford. To make matters worse, Uber banned me from their platform after a **fraudulent complaint** from a customer.  

In one particular incident, a customer placed **two separate orders on different accounts**, likely to use promotional discounts. After I delivered both orders (with solid proof, including a **recording from my car camera**, **phone call recordings via Uber’s system**, and even a **signed confirmation with a verification code**), the customer falsely claimed they never received the orders. Despite all my evidence, Uber still **suspended and ultimately banned me**, leaving me without one of my primary sources of income.  

#### The Collapse  

Since then, my financial situation has become unmanageable. Every credit card I own is now **maxed out** and going into **collections**. I’ve been fighting with **SSDI for over two years** to get much-needed disability support, but I’ve been left in limbo. My **food stamps** were drastically reduced from **$285 to just $45** three months ago, with **no warning or explanation**. That’s not even enough to cover the basics. My fridge currently has nothing but a **carton of expired eggs** in it.  

My family—my husband, children, and even our pets—are **barely surviving on one meal a day** from a local soup kitchen and a rarely stocked food donation box. I can’t even afford **cat food**, which breaks my heart, but I have absolutely no other options left.  

#### The Immediate Crisis  

At this moment, I am facing **imminent eviction** because I’ve fallen so far behind on rent. My car, which is my lifeline, is uninsured and has a **lapsed registration** and **expired license plates** (expiring today). Without money for the **title transfer, registration renewal, car insurance,** or basic repairs, I risk losing the only transportation I have left to look for work or access resources.  

On top of all of this? My.cat got lost outside for 3 months - and amazingly I managed to find her and bring her home! Unfortunately now that she’s back home, I’ve noticed several concerning symptoms... She was the runt of her litter so she naturally has more health issues than normal cats. She was rejected and abandoned by her mother. When I first found her, she was so malnourished and underweight that I genuinely thought she was only 3-4 weeks old. Yet, signs pointed to her being 2.5-3 months old. She was infested with multiple species of worms, and her condition was dire—she was on the brink of going blind and deaf. The vet advised against spending money on her treatment, expressing that there was little hope for her survival. But I couldn’t just give up on her. Something inside me told me she was worth fighting for. I insisted that the vet provide her with whatever she needed, no matter the cost. He warned me he wouldn’t schedule the follow-up appointment for her second round of shots as usual; instead, he told me to call him in two weeks if she was still alive, giving her no more than 72 hours to live if she was lucky. Against all odds, she fought through her sickness and made a miraculous recovery and became my best friend,....   I can't even afford food for her right now, much less a vet visit and that breaks my heart more than anything....



#### A Final Cry for Help  

I’ve applied for every form of **government assistance** repeatedly over the last three years, but I’ve been denied at every turn. I’ve also tried **payday loan apps**, referral promotions, surveys, and other quick-money options, but they’re not enough to make even a dent in my daily expenses.... I am completely out of options. I’ve done everything I can think of to provide for my family and keep us afloat, but I’m at a point where I can’t do it alone anymore. I never imagined I would be in this position, but life has thrown more at me than I can handle. If you can help in any way—whether it’s through a donation, sharing this post, or even sending supportive words—it would mean the world to me and my family.

Hello, first I just want to say that this is not something I am proud to be doing, I know there are people in this world that have it worse than I do.  I live in Alaska in a very small town of less than 1,000 people, 100 miles from the next city.  Last year I was scammed by someone that had conditioned me for 2 years sharing little side hustles to make a few bucks here and there through apps with sign up bonuses or referral bonuses. Long story short this person took advantage of me and left me $8,000 in debt. I have paid half of it back so far, and I am giving up my tax return to pay the other half of it off so i can be done.  I am a single mom, I have 3 boys, 2 are over 18 so it's just my youngest who just turned 11, and I was not able to give him a birthday party of any kind, because money is so tight.  I am thankful that my landlord is such an amazing person that he doesn't stress me for rent.  I am so far behind on rent its not even funny. I want to take care of this man who has taken care of my son and I by giving us a place to stay. Groceries here are so expensive, 100 dollars doesn't even get you all the basic essentials. My fridge is empty, my cupboards are pretty much empty, I just want my son to not have to worry about food for a while. I want him to get to have the birthday party he wants, so he can invite his friends and so I can see him smile and be happy. I don't get any support from his dad. I started going to counseling because I have been super depressed, I feel like I'm failing in life, as a mom mostly. I know my son loves me and he's such a smart good kid. This person that took advantage of me ruined my life and they have no idea, nor do they care if the did. I’m reaching out for support after unexpectedly losing my job in August 2024, in Oil and Gas sector. 

Since then, I’ve been struggling to keep up with my financial obligations, including rent, and utilities.
