Dire need of assistance - homeless soon and bad health
Posted by: dullstars - 05-28-2019, 04:17 PM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

Hi - I've hit hard times due to forcefully resigning my job because of how it impacted my health and negligence when I expressed concerns. I was offered health insurance and supplementary work from home to be able to afford out-of-pocket cost of my health insurance to improve my health. I was strung along and eventually was told to apply to unemployment and my employers contested it leaving me penniless.

I can't afford my health insurance or rent. I'm currently facing retaliation with my landlord who would not accept my rent payment due to the fact I deducted out-of-pocket cost for mandatory state renovations. They simply do not care because they have protection by a lawyer who owns the building. During renovations, I could not return to my apartment and the maintenance workers took it upon themselves to destroy things in my apartment and open/hide mail.

I spent a lot of time trying to fix things and now my account is in a negative balance. I will be facing eviction soon if I don't come up with rent. I truly want to find a new residence to stay in so I can have a peace of mind. I'm not sure if information was stolen from me or if cameras were placed in my apartment. I'm completely paranoid. These men walk into my apartment unannounced when I was in the shower or dressed inappropriately. I do not open my door unless I have prior knowledge of something coming to my house due to the fact they refuse to place a peephole only door.

They've eliminated the option of knocking because they have a key to come straight in. Honestly, I'm terrified. The courts won't do anything about my claims and it'll cost me more money (that I don't have) to fight it.

My health (physically and mentally) are destroyed by being so distraught. It's hard for me to produce work as an artist with everything going on. I'm depressed and don't have much to live for at the point. I truly need a blessing and a turn around.

If anyone is willing to help, my cash app is cash.me/$killywilly

Thanks for consideration.

I don't deserve your money, but I could sure use it.
Posted by: hernonanddeservin - 05-28-2019, 06:30 AM - Forum: My Request for Help - Replies (1)

I'm 26 years old, I live with my parents, and I'm useless. If I needed to put much effort in into my own survival, I'd probably be dead. Those who suffer through a relationship with me often wish I was different. I often wish I was different. I've been through a whole mess of things, most of which beyond my control. I want to say things will change soon, that I'll get my act together, buckle down get a job and move on with my life. But I'd be lying to myself and everyone else. This is what it is for now, and as bad as it sucks, it could be worse. If anyone out there wants to improve my experience in any small way, I would be grateful for the help. Just know that I will more than likely spend your money on something that solves some momentary dissatisfaction, rather than investing in my future. https://paypal.me/whynottry?locale.x=en_US

I'm a single Father of a beautiful little girl named kayla. She has been begging me to take her to Disney World and i just don't have the extra funds to go. With being a single Father with bills and providing food and clothing. I just can't right now. I honestly understand a single mothers perspective having to do everything themselves. Anything will help give her this trip of a lifetime. PayPal.me/Charles0117 Thank you in advance

Hello.

My name is Almaz. I am from Kazakhstan. I live in village Kulan. Our village is small ana here live good people. But in Kulan is not a lot of job. And salary not big - 100-150 dollars in month.

I work in office and i hate my job. Every day work to home and home to work. 10 years  work, work & work this job.

I wish to buy new computer, because my favorite hobby is playing games. Somebody says: Good work is work, like hobby, that you like most of all. I like computer games from 5 years old(Dendy, Sega, Panasonic, PS1 & Pentium 2). After school my father said, that games is not good, that i must work. But now i watch youtube, people play games ana earn money, good money.

My wish to buy good computer and play games, become good gamer in youtube, twitch...

In Kazakhstan good computer cost - 2000 dollars.

Thank you very much!

Best regards, Almaz Kalysh.

  A Veteran looking for help
Posted by: gaterat@hotmail.com - 05-26-2019, 07:10 PM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

This is very difficult for me since I've never had to ask for help before.  Ever since I was discharged from the U.S. Army, I'm a Vietnam Era Veteran, I've always been able to provide for myself and pay the bills.  My wife and I have worked our entire adult lives and although we've never been wealthy, we've always lived comfortably and provided for our children.  Then our lives changed drastically when the company I worked for downsized and I lost my good paying job after almost two decades with the company.  I had a small pension and my wife still had her job.  Things were tight, but we were able to get by and pay the bills.  I looked for work, but because of my age no one would hire me.  Even the unemployment office told me that my age has a lot to do with me not being able to find work.  They told me that employers are not allowed to discriminate because of age, but unfortunately they do.
Just when we thought things couldn't get worse, I had to have my forth and last joint replacement.  I'd already had both hips and one knee totally replaced and now I needed my other knee replaced.  The operation went smoothly and I started rehabilitation, but just six weeks after my knee replacement I had a heart attack.  After all was said and done, my doctors said I needed to go on disability, that I would never be able to work like I did my entire life.  So I applied for Social Security Disability and was approved with no problem.  This helped some, we were just able to pay the bills, then six months later we were hit with another setback.  My wife was diagnosed with throat cancer.  She had to undergo radiation treatments five days a week for seven weeks and it really took its toll on her.  She was finally able to return to work, but between the medical bills from my heart attack and my wife's throat cancer, we were in bad shape financially.  It doesn't end here.
Our oldest daughter was feeling ill and we told her she needed to see a doctor.  She kept resisting saying she was the major bread winner in her household since her husband, a roofer by trade, had fallen off a thirty foot roof and was severely injured.  He was in and out of the hospital for a long time and he finally had to have his left leg amputated since the doctors couldn't save it.  Since then, he has only been able to work occasional odd jobs.  Our daughter finally saw a doctor and found out her problem was a large mass in her abdomen which required surgery.  Since she was now unable to work and her husband only worked occasionally, it didn't take long for them to lose their place of residence.  Well, we couldn't have them and their six children living on the street, so my wife and I told them they could move in with us.  We prayed that we could work it out.
Since then, our utilities have more than doubled.  Our cost for food increased even more because now we are feeding ten people instead of two.  Our major focus is on the children because we have to provide them a roof, food and clothing.  My wife and I have liquidated everything we owned of value just to provide.  We are barely keeping the mortgage and utilities up to date.  We're paying the past due amounts on the utilities just to keep them on.  The bill collectors are hounding us constantly, some of them are threatening to garnish my wife's wages.  If that happens, we will all be out on the street.
Like I said in the beginning of this post, it is difficult for me to ask for help, but I'm just hoping that someone, some generous person can help us get through this situation.  We're not asking for much.  Just enough to get by until we can improve our situation on our own.  Thank you for reading this post and thank you to those who are willing to help us.

  becoming homeless
Posted by: zacpreece - 05-26-2019, 02:20 PM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

me and my girlfriend and five children have been made homeless recently. My other half is in a BnB for the time being with no cooking facilities, so we are going out every night for food. I have looked around for help but haven't found any food charities that will allow children in due to safeguarding issues. We are trying to search for places to live that accept DSS (housing benefits) I am unable to stay in this BnB because they wouldn't allow us to be in a room together with the children so currently staying between several different places. Looking for what ever assistance I can get.
