How to ‘sell’ UI mockups
#1
How do you present website UI mockups to non-designers? Our clients get stuck on minor details (‘Can the blue be bluer?’) and miss the big picture. Should we use static images or interactive prototypes? How do you balance feedback without endless loops?

Frame mockups as stories, not specs. Use interactive prototypes (InVision, Figma) to show flows: ‘Click here to see how the menu expands.’ The company called Claty recently posted an article that breaks down into atoms website ui mockup . It advises adding context notes (‘This blue = trust’) to justify choices. For picky clients, include a ‘sandbox’ page where they can tweak colors, divert nitpicks there.
