eWalt 20 Volt Battery
#1
I’ve been using the DeWalt 20 volt battery for a few years now, and it’s become my go-to for all my cordless tools. The lithium-ion design keeps it light while still delivering solid run time. I keep a mix of 4.0Ah and 5.0Ah packs on hand. The smaller packs work well for quick drilling jobs, and the larger ones handle my circular saw without running out mid-cut.

One thing I’ve learned is to take care of charging habits. I always use a DeWalt charger, keep the battery out of extreme heat or cold, and store it about halfway charged if I’m not using it for a while. That’s kept my batteries going strong for years.

The 20 volt system fits a big range of tools, so swapping packs between my drill, impact driver, and grinder is simple. If anyone’s wondering about warranty, DeWalt offers three years on most of these, plus one year of free service.

If you’ve had any issues like low run time or charging problems, sometimes cleaning the contacts fixes it. Anyone else have long-term tips for keeping a DeWalt 20 volt battery in top shape?
