I always keep a small emergency kit in my trunk—jumper cables, a flashlight, a first-aid kit, and some basic tools. It’s come in handy more times than I can count. Also, having a portable phone charger is a must! I learned that the hard way after my car battery died, and my phone was completely dead. Now I never leave the house without one.
