I recently tried to manually clean up duplicate emails from a large MBOX file that I exported from my old email client. I went through the mailbox and deleted obvious duplicates, but after re-importing the file into another email program, I am still seeing many repeated messages. It seems like some duplicates have slightly different headers or timestamps, which might be why they were not easy to spot during manual cleanup. The mailbox is quite large, so going through everything again one by one is not really practical. Has anyone faced a similar issue with MBOX files? Is there a reliable tool or method that can accurately detect and remove all duplicate emails without damaging the original data?
