Temple Run 2 Offline Mode — Any Differences?

Hi everyone,

Is there any significant gameplay difference when playing Temple Run 2 offline vs online? I sometimes lose connectivity and want to know if offline runs affect scoring, rewards, or event participation. 

I saw notes on connectivity at https://templerun2game.com but haven't found clear user reports. Do certain features (like leaderboards or daily bonuses) require an internet connection? Any pros or cons to playing offline regularly?
