I found a way to transfer big files to friends!
#1
I found a way to transfer big files to friends without dealing with all the usual limitations, and honestly it made things a lot easier than I expected. Before that, I kept running into the same problems over and over again — either the file size limits were too strict, or the service required creating an account, verifying email, setting permissions, and all that extra stuff that just slows everything down.
For example, I’ve tried sending videos and project files before, and it quickly becomes frustrating when you have to split files into parts or compress them just to fit into some arbitrary limit. On top of that, some platforms reduce quality or take forever to upload, which is not ideal when you just want to quickly send something to a friend or teammate.
So I started looking for something simpler, more straightforward — basically a tool where you can upload a file and immediately get a link to share. No unnecessary steps, no complicated setup. That’s when I came across SwiftSend. I didn’t expect much at first, but after trying it a few times, it actually worked pretty smoothly.
What I liked is that it doesn’t force you to create an account, which saves time, especially for one-time transfers. The upload process felt fast enough, and sharing the file was as simple as sending a link. I also noticed that the person receiving the file could start downloading without delays, which is a nice bonus when dealing with larger files.
Of course, I’m not saying it’s the only option out there or that it replaces everything else. There are definitely more advanced tools with additional features, especially if you need long-term storage or collaboration. But for simple use cases — like sending files to friends, sharing videos, or transferring project files quickly — this kind of approach works really well.
Overall, it just feels more practical for everyday use when you don’t want to overthink things. I’m still curious what others are using though, because there might be even better options out there that I haven’t tried yet.
