My name is Pradeep Raturi, and I am writing to you with a heart full of hope and desperation. My wife, Swati Raturi, is fighting a life-threatening battle against Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in Dehradun, India. For the past year, she has been undergoing dialysis, but the doctors have made it clear that a kidney transplant is her only chance for survival. The estimated cost for the procedure is ₹16 lakhs ($19,000), and we are utterly shattered, both emotionally and financially.
Swati has always been a beacon of light in our lives—a loving mother to our two little children, ages 5 and 7, and my unwavering partner. Unfortunately, our journey has been marked by relentless struggles. After Swati's diagnosis, all our savings were exhausted in her treatment, and I was forced to leave my job to care for her and our children. With no one to support us in this dire time, I have been unable to find a way forward.
