I recently made an unexpected purchase: Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition. Despite not having an Xbox or gaming PC, I decided to buy the game, especially since it’s currently 80% off. But the real reason for this purchase isn't the discount, nor is it because anything with a screen is apparently an Xbox. The main reason is that starting next week, I won’t be able to buy Forza Horizon 4 through digital storefronts anymore.
Due to licensing agreements, the game will be delisted on December 15, 2024. After that, it’ll be impossible to purchase the game or its DLC expansions from digital storefronts. While it might still be possible to find digital codes or physical copies afterward, the window for buying it digitally is closing soon.
I've wanted to play Forza Horizon 4 for a while, especially since it’s set in the UK, where I live in Nottingham. The LEGO DLC also looks like so much fun. On December 15, 2024, it will be delisted, but if you already own the game, you’ll still be able to play it, including online multiplayer. What matters is that you need to buy the game before that date if you want to add it to your digital collection. That’s why I’ve bought it now — so it’s ready in my library for whenever I get an Xbox.
