Background: The story begins in 2010 when I was made redundant. My mother had died the previous year and it had been up to me to sell the family home (a three bed semi-detached) and to find a more suitable home for myself as I was now on my own.  I found a flat and settled in, but was unlucky in finding work. I received a monthly income as I had been contributing to a pension and this increased annually. I applied for Jobseekers Allowance, but wasn’t eligible for it because of the pension. The usual household costs therefore had to come out of the pension and my redundancy payment.
I remained unsuccessful in finding work until 2014 when I was made aware of a couple who had previously attended the church that I now worshipped at.  The lady had severe disabilities and was unable to clean her house and she and her husband were looking for someone to help.  I went to meet the couple and they offered me the job.  They left the area in 2015. During my time there, I attended the Work Programme which was a Government run scheme for the long term unemployed.  I made them aware of my cleaning job and eventually I was told about a position with the company that cleaned the Work Programme’s office.  I was employed by them for a year until the Work Programme moved to a different location  and I was made redundant again.  I registered with several employment agencies, and was successful in obtaining various cleaning jobs with one of them.  This employment agency has now relocated to Birmingham and as a result, I no longer have any contact with them.  However, I do have regular employment, again as a cleaner in a private house for a maximum of 5 hours per week, but since 2020 and the onset of Covid-19 I have not been able to go there.  I have looked into seeing if I’m eligible for any benefit because of this, but I don’t think I am.
Why I Need Money:  As mentioned above my primary income is a pension which at present amounts to just over £500 per month. Once my household costs and food have been taken from that, I am left with approximately £220 per month.  The flat I live in is owned by a company whose business is defined as “buying and selling of own real estate” so as well as the normal household costs, (gas, electric, water etc.) there is a service charge and because it is a flat, a ground rent (both of which are paid every 6 months).  Because of my lack of income, I have debts amounting to £6719.64.  In addition, in 2016 my toilet overflowed, and all the carpets had to come up.  As this had happened, I thought it would be an idea to declutter/deep clean my flat, but this has proved to be one of the worst ideas I’ve ever had.  I have arthritis and am finding it difficult to prepare the rooms that had the carpets in, so I am looking into having the decluttering/deep clean done professionally. Furthermore, I need either repairs to my boiler or a new one. If you would like to contribute towards any of these costs, then thank you in advance.

LES patient in need to void Eviction
Posted by: DayseBaba85 - 08-05-2021, 09:13 AM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

I'm a struggling single mom( divorced) with a 14 years old son, 2 rescue cats and a rescue dog. Until March 2020 I had a stable job as a CSR  making 40+ hours.  Even though it was minimal wages I was able to manage paid the bills and rent and live a frugal life. However in March 2020 I caught COVID-19 ended up in ICU for 3 weeks and almost a month staying at the hospital, I got severe complications due to my autoimmune disease of Systemic Lupus, Unfortunately my job closed the doors briefly because of the Pandemic and once they reopened they cut half of the staff, so they fired a bunch of people majority the sick and the old due to liability , I did applied for unemployment and got some payments however was short lived because my ID (Green card ) had expired while I'm waiting for immigration call for my Biometrics to renew my GC, EDD has frozen my claim until I can get a valid ID, I cant work for the same reason of the GC being expired. I don't have any other source of income and I don't have  family here in US and my family back to home country also suffers from financial hardships. I don't like to beg or ask for handouts but  I'm in desperate mode but I cant afford my rent this month of $1116. I really don't want end up in a homeless camp with my son and my pets.
I appreciated all kind of help, not matter if is one cent or one million, I will be forever grateful.
Thank you
Dayse

Exclamation I Saved Maverick's Life. Can ANYONE Save me?.
Posted by: TexasRose7 - 08-03-2021, 05:58 AM - Forum: My Request for Help - Replies (1)

Please help if you can! If there's one thread you browse through please STOP at this one. Your simple act of kindness  can save what little posessions  I do have from being lost forever. I had to pawn some jewelry, my television, and a gun totaling $1200 to save my cats life. I'm  sure anyone else in my position would do the same.... whatever it takes.. My cat is my fur baby and my little buddy. His name is Maverick and he's been there for me through thick and thin. It's my job as his mama to take care of him and do whatever I can to give him a good life. If you've ever owned a pet, you know that they become a part of your family. My cat is a 3 year old Scottish Fold and while I don't have children yet, he is my everything.

He started throwing up and refused to eat and so I rushed him to the vets office. After a whole board of tests, blood draws, and an ultra sound the doctors told me that he needed emergency surgery and to stay in the hospital over the weekend or he may not make it through the weekend. Of course I immediately agreed and sat by his side as much as they would let me until he was finally well enough to come home. He made it thankfully and it turns out he had a blocked urethra due to spurs he could not pass on his own. His kidneys had begun to shut down and luckily they were able to assess and operate in time. Now came th next hurdle... how do I pay for this bill?

I barely make it paycheck to paycheck so in order to pay for his vet bill I had to pawn every valuable item I owned. I paid little increments but I still owe $1000. I had to pawn jewelry that belong to my grandmother and a gun that belonged to my father. These items are all I have left of them. PLEASE, I'm begging you if you can donate ANYTHING  I would be forever grateful.  I've been through so many struggles and it seems as soon as things calm down BOOM something else goes wrong. I really can't emotionally take this loss. If anyone can help, it would be the greatest kindness  you could extend. So here I am begging and pleading strangers for help because I have no where else to turn.

I'll leave my PayPal Link as I am out of other options. Just know if you can find it in your hearts to extend me a little grace you will save the last physical memories of those I loved the most in this world who are no longer with us on this earth, my dad and my grandmother. These items are irreplaceable. I can only hope and pray that someone sees this in time. Thank you for considering and taking the time to read this.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT. PLEASE DONATE NOW BEFORE MY LOVED ONES ITEMS ARE LOST FORVER.  I saved Maverick, now can someone, anyone please save me?

Sad I'm on my last leg
Posted by: kingofthecold - 08-02-2021, 10:17 PM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

Currently I'm at the end my willpower. I have recently lost my car due to a repossession, and I would use that car for Uberring. I would usually uber on the side to make ends meet and be able to survive. I'm unsure of the future right now because of losing my car. Before the repossession I was in a big depression for the past half year, and didn't have the motivation to Uber, so I got some credit lines to help with bills and necessities. Unfortunately right now, I am drowning in those repayments. I would be able to get my footing and not be so worried about the future, if I could pay them off. Its going to be about $10K, so any bit helps. https://paypal.me/KingArctic?locale.x=en_US
