Why do notes and addresses disappear when importing Excel contacts?

Notes and address fields are complex, multi-line attributes. Excel doesn’t preserve their structure during import, so phones and apps often drop them. vCard handles these fields natively, keeping formatting intact. If you want to retain notes, addresses, and company details, converting the spreadsheet first is essential. I’ve had consistent results using Softaken Excel to vCard Converter, as it preserves extended contact fields that are commonly lost during direct Excel imports.
