What is the volatility like in popular Hot slots at social casinos?
#1
I’m planning to try the Hot Slots category at a social casino for the first time. I used to play mostly themed games with a storyline, such as Egyptian-themed or adventure games. However, a friend recommended trying the Hot slots specifically because they have their own unique atmosphere. Before I start, though, I want to figure out the volatility. Is it usually high or medium? I’m not ready for long losing streaks yet, so I want to know what to expect.

Is the volatility the same across different Hot Slots, or does it depend on the specific game and provider? I thought Hot Slots were a separate category with general mechanics, but they’re all different. Am I misunderstanding how this category works in general?

Seriously, you haven’t played Hot Slots yet? Usually, newbies start with those - at least, that's what I did. The first games I tried were Mayan Madness by Edge Labs and Fire Express by Enjoy Gaming. As for volatility, it varies depending on the slot and provider. There’s no single standard. You can find the exact data in the game itself. Most slots (Zula Casino) have an info icon showing both volatility and RTP. To be honest, I rarely pay attention to that myself. I just launch the slot, see if I like it, and if I do, I stick with it. Do you check the RTP too, by the way? My friends do that too, but I honestly don’t even know what that abbreviation stands for.
