I lost my job, and I can't find a new one.

Hi I live in a city where there is only one animal shelter and it is filled to capacity with a long waiting list for admittance. Because of this, lost or stray dogs are sent to the kennel contracted with my city to act as dog control. The kennel owner shoot the dogs in the head as a means of euthanizing after 48 hours in their possession if unclaimed. I’ve confirmed this with the dog warden in the dog law department of my county. The kennel has incentive to kill because the city pays them $50 per dog they kill. We have an urgent need for a second shelter in our city so we can save these dogs. I’ve successfully registered with the IRS and was granted 501©(3) status. I am trying so hard to make the space to save these poor dogs but the hardest part has been funding. I’ve sent a letter to the mayor, senator, state legislator, chamber of commerce, the Catholic Church in my neighborhood, crowdfunding websites and social media, applied for 30 grants so far and counting, asked local stores to be sponsors, and to no avail. I’ve asked everyone I know if they can be fosters so we can start taking the dogs out of the animal control kennel before they’re killed but no one has volunteered yet. I have four rescues already and I have the room in my home to take in a few more comfortably but I would also need funding to do so. If anyone reads this and has a heart for animals like I do and can help me out, I will save an animal from the kill kennel with the funds and I will name it after you. I need a helping hand. 

I have fostered a kitten from a lady who could not afford to keep him and he was not doing very well by her. 

I couldnt let the poor fur baby continue to grow skinnier and more frightened. I was assured when I took him that he was sterilized however, when I took him to the vet for a check up, I found out that he was not. I unfortunately did not budget for this, this month and do not have the funds. 

I do not want this kitten to have to go somewhere else as hes already been through so much and would like to provide a better life for me.

Hi all, my name is Mike. I'm headed into my final year of my Bachelor's degree at the Monash college in South Africa. I've been able to keep up with paying my school fees over the last 3 years through freelancing jobs however it's been it's been rather slow getting gigs over the last 4-6 months and have not been able to make as much as I had hoped during that time. The college I attend require that the year's fees be paid in full before the semester starts unless one can prove financial difficulty in which case they ask that 40% of the amount be paid in full at the start of the semester and a monthly payment plan is negotiated and put in place over a 6 month period to pay for the outstanding amounts. This is my situation, I've managed to pay over 75% of the amount needed to start the semester but I am still short R7060 which is roughly $460 to fulfil the 40% required to start the semester.
