I find myself in a situation that I am not allowed to do anything about. I have applied for disability and I am not allowed to work. With all the Virus stuff going on my family and I find ourselves at the end of grace periods on all of the bills including rent, electric, gas, and water. i have applied for assistance every place I know of, with no results  I don't know what else to do. I pray God blesses all of us in need.

This summer, my 55 year old father was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell carcinoma. When I was a little girl (since my parents were divorced) I spent every Thanksgiving with him. It was "our" holiday. Given the pandemic, his health condition, & both of our financial situations I did everything I possibly could to bring him to my home for the holiday. I couldn't bare him spending it alone, even though I knew I couldn't do anything special (besides maybe T.V. dinner turkey). When I was a child he made Thanksgiving magical for me and deserves better than what I can provide. This will be "our" last holiday together and I would be so grateful for anything that anyone would be willing to contribute & asisst me with. COVID has left me working only part time & I really don't have the ability to even celebrate the holiday, let alone coordinate the last one with my Father. I appreciate the support more than words could say.

Hello, I thought I’d come on here and give a brief explanation on my situation. I’m a young college student struggling to fight a court case against my ex-boyfriend. To put it simply, I no longer talk to my parents to ask for help and had moved out with my ex-boyfriend in hopes of starting fresh. He then assaulted me when he came home drunk one night and cops appeared at our apartment due to the noise. Overall, I am in need of some help to fight this case to continue pressing charges on him. This wasnt the first time he’s hit me so I want to make sure I can protect myself from here on out. More so, since his arrest, I am stuck having to pay his portion of our bills. Like many others the pandemic has left me jobless close to homeless and at the verge of bankruptcy. I have tried multiple job interviews to no success and it’s so disheartening not being able to provide for my family. Our government has failed us and I find myself hoping they will help just to be crushed like many others.
