My name is Fabrenia from Atlanta Ga and I am a giver but right now I need help. Worked my career for over 25 years in downtown Atlanta. I was involved in an almost fatal car accident over 6 years ago and have been disabled. The doctors repaired my knees but normal wear and age has cause me to developed osteoarthritis disease in both knees, doctors say my condition is worse than any older person twice my age. I am 49 and I am in pain all day everyday. My children are wonderful helping me. I have anxiety due to all the pain that I endure each day but I do what I have to do... story of being a mom. Now the disease is worse and I need both knees replaced. This is not an easy surgery but the first one is December 16th. I have exhausted all of my savings and 401k. I can’t get any more loan money. I do get monthly checks but I don’t have enough to make ends meet per month. I need my surgery for Christmas. I can barely walk on my leg and the cold makes me not leave the bed because my joints are stiffened. I need HELP just making sure bills are paid up while I at least have the first surgery and able to stand on that leg. I want to recover without worry that me and my children will be evicted or in the dark. Any help is Help at this point. I can’t do anything for my children for Christmas but I think they understand. I think as long as we keep our own place and don’t have to live with anyone else my children will be happy until I get on feet and can go back to helping myself. I have unfortunately lost my job recently and have not had much luck finding another one. I only need 600 for rent+groceries this month. Just to get my life back on track as I look for another job. This is a summary of the constant cycle of disorders that affect my husband Tom, making it impossible for him to work.

 

He is on Dupixent - an immune suppressing biological drug = high risk for Co-VID 19.

 

Brain Injury complications that affect severe Eczema skin disorder:

Short term Memory loss 

Anxiety

Panic attacks

Depression

 

These disorders due to his brain injury cause severe Eczema skin flare ups resulting in cracked, bleeding/oozing hands, elbows, feet, neck and torso that can remain this way for several days to several weeks.  Dupixent is used to treat the flare ups, however increase in anxiety sometimes caused by short term memory loss issues which can then lead to anxiety and to panic attacks which can result in a continued flare up or cause another after primary flare up subsides.

 

While flare up occurs, unable to work because open sores on skin and hands, can be very painful, itch and flake skin continuously.  The flare ups in turn result in increase of anxiety, depression and can conclude with panic attacks causing missing more work.  Can miss several days while having a panic attack, resulting in the cycle to continue.

 

Constant cycle - anxiety, anxiety due to short term memory issues, panic attacks, depression cause a skin flare up, which perpetuates the anxiety, panic attacks and depression, lengthening the skin flares ups or causing repeat episodes, causing more anxiety, depression and panic attacks, etc.

 

Other issues that can compound the constant cycle, causing an increase in anxiety, depression and panic attacks resulting in more skin flare ups:

 

Back problems which make it so can't lift over 25 pounds. 

Hip replacement surgery also make it so can't lift items over 25 pounds. Hip replaced in March 2019.

Shoulder problems which make it so can't lift arm above head. Waiting to see specialist about this issue.

 

Has caused missed work due to these issues as well which in turn cause anxiety, depression and panic attacks that then cause a skin flare up.
