I just found freebeg and as I am out of options I thought why not give it a try and be honest and see what happens. I have full time work that has worn me down mentally to the point I sometimes just don't want to get up in the morning. I was stable and could pay my bills just fine without issue working. But once the depression started kicking in I stopped going in as much leaving early just to try and keep my mind stable. I justified to myself "hey things will be alright you'll just get a loan and it'll be okay"..

Well that's where it took a turn - my identity was stolen almost 2 years ago and although everything was taken care of and I stopped paying attention to it, my credit never recovered  and now no loan company will give me the time of day. I've been trying for 3 weeks every single company I could find and nothing has come close to panning out. Now it is the 11th hour my rent and bills are due tomorrow the third of august and I am 900 dollars short on bills and I just don't know what to do anymore. I don't have family or friends that can help me out of this situation so I'm hoping as a shot in the dark the kindness of a stranger might save me. Hey to whoever is reading this right now,

I am Lachlan, a 21 year old from Scotland, I currently live on my own away from my family.


I'm currently in a bit of a tough situation. I have literally zero in my account at the moment and not due to receive money for quite a while (because of a sanction), everything is just hitting me all at once, my gas has been capped due to debt, my electricity is less than £1, I have barely any food and currently relying on going to foodbanks every week to stay fed (which is really embarrassing, they've started only letting me come by once every two weeks now). I'm currently unemployed due to my mental health condition at the moment but working with a program that is hopefully going to help me get employed again.
As for my mental health, I have been waiting for  over a year to start getting proper psychiatric help and recently got a letter detailing that I'm going to have wait a further 5-6 months to start psychotherapy, up until this point all they have done is given me anti-depressants and seen me every 6 weeks just to ask how I'm doing and to make changes to the dosage of the meds. I hate being mentally ill because I'm in the situation I'm in as a result of that.

Everything hit the fan when I ruined the best relationship I ever had because I was deluded by my own mind. I moved to where I am now to be closer with my girlfriend at the time and to get away from the abuse and neglect I suffered at the hands of my parents. Things went well for a while, got a job, got a new flat, life was just great but then I had to go and wreck everything and ended that relationship, the dreams of settling down eventually faded away, and everything in my life came to a halt and I've been stuck ever since, I hate to say it, but I am 100% desperate and I feel like I'm at the end of my tether with things, I want to stay hopeful and optimistic but that's slowly degrading by the day.

If I was to receive help, the money I receive will go straight to making improvements with my living conditions, getting my gas back on so I can actually have baths and do proper cleans in the house, I'd probably do shopping in Lidl or Aldi because you can get a lot for a small amount of money there and of course I'd get my electricity so I'd be able to cook and see what the hell I'm doing in my house! If there is any extra after that, it would go into a little piggy bank for emergencies.

I feel like with a little bit of a push I can get myself back on my feet!

For the past few years myself and my boyfriend have been paying a family court lawyer large retainers in hopes of finally getting sole custody of my stepdaughter. Her mother is ... quite the character and the environment she is in is not healthy for my stepdaughter. She’s manipulative, abusive and a pathological liar all wrapped up in one horrible person. We have to go back and forth to court almost every two weeks it seems like due to the fact she is always filing motions for nonsense and making the custody agreement pretty unbareable. She keeps my stepdaughter from us when she does get visitations for days even weeks at a time after her visits are over. She made the school year hell for us constantly picking my stepdaughter up early from school on days that were not her assigned days leaving me at home stressed if my stepdaughter was going to arrive that day... we just want to stay a family. I have an autistic 5 year old son who absolutely adores his stepsister and she’s the only child he’s ever recognized as a sibling and been close to. We currently have joint custody but the mother is constantly challenging this and it costs more and more... we have bills we are behind on, we’re expecting a baby, and we can’t afford to lose our lawyer due to lack of funds.... we need this representation so the mother cannot get back custody of the child. She has a friend in California who has custody of her son who sends her payments monthly for her child and that’s how she is able to constantly afford representation for all these bogus court dates she files motions for ... we however? Do not have a friend like that. My boyfriend works his ass off to provide for myself, my son and my stepdaughter. But he cannot do it all... and since I can’t work, I cannot help him afford another retainer and we have about $400 left with our lawyer who charges $300 an hour... we have two court dates within the next month and one in September SO FAR. We need to be able to pay the lawyer $1500 to keep him on the payroll. He is the best family court lawyer we could find and afford in Indiana. He has helped tremendously but has to remain with us to keep the ball rolling. I’m literally asking... begging for any amount anyone could spare to help us. I don’t care if it’s $19...$5...$1... anything helps. This stress has made my pregnancy extremely hard and we just don’t know what to do anymore. We’ve sold all we could to maintain bills... school starts soon so we need to get school supplies and uniforms... and both children’s birthdays are Coming up in August and September... I’m also due the end of September. It’s a hectic situation and we just are trying to make it through but it’s imoortant we keep our children with us and our family together. We cannot let this woman win because my stepdaughter truly deserves a better life then what her mother would give her ... we know she’s safe here. Loved here. And taken care of here. hello, recently my 18 month old, fiancé and I got kicked out of our home causing me to have to quit my job that I loved. We had to move two hours away to have a couch to sleep on.
