Hi, my name is Kim and I am a survivor of abuse. After lifetime of trauma, I've just finally been able to escape my situation, however in doing so, I am now homeless with no money for food and no one to turn to. On top of this, I am also suffering from severe temporomandibular joint dysfunction that's progressed to the point where I am in need of immediate surgery in order to function in my day-to-day life. I’m not disabled, I’m not someone who has had a hard life or would even say average. I have an amazing family and have had opportunities through out my life that some don’t. Because of all that it makes asking for help even harder. I am too ashamed to ask my family for help and I am realizing I have no friends to turn to because all I did was work. 
Recently I have lost my job. It was my life and I hate that it’s gone. I loved what I do with a passion and losing this job has been so hard on my ego I can’t explain. In the middle of that, my mother tested positive for covid and isn’t doing well. I am living with them because when the original shutdown occured I was unsure of what would happen with the world and didn’t want to go through this alone. My grandma also moved in with my parents so we have a full house. Since I am negative they have asked us to stay out of the house for a few days and I don’t have the money for a hotel but I’m looking for a little bit of help so that I could afford a hotel maybe some gas to get around to interviews and pay some bills. 
If there is anyone who will help me it would be so appreciated I can’t even express it. I know eceryone is going through a lot right now so I am humbly asking for any help that can be given. What's a girl have to do to get bailed out in rough situations? I strive to be independent and pay for my own stuff (own my own house, car, etc) and not lean on a man and yet I see these girls showing all their business and getting thrown money. Who helps nice girls who just need a break? I've worked since I was 11 until Covid took my job. Unemployment is a joke! Deep breath. My living arrangements are precarious at best. With me I have my sister and 3 her children displaced by covid. Fleeing a domestic violence situation I am also disabled and insulin dependant with seizure disorder. Would you believe I've lost both of my parents in a less than 10 years span and I'm in a constant war with depression, anxiety and PTSD. I don't have much family help or interaction to speak of. NOW. This letter is a formal appeal to you for help with the tuition fees for continuing my college education. i need $500 for completing the whole four semester.
my father has become disabled due to a heart attack, and since I am his only child, I need to give him care in the mornings and evenings. This is why I had to quit my job.
I did not apply for student loans, because I was able to meet my expenses and didn’t want to go into debt. Now, it is too late to apply for a loan. I have also contacted my college financial aid office for help, but they declined to increase my aid this year. 
I will continue to apply for grants and scholarships as well as financial aid from my college for next year, but am requesting you to help me through this difficult time, so I don’t have to drop out of college.
