  We need help
Posted by: Jeri80 - 11-16-2021, 03:58 PM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

Hello, I’m just going to get right to the point. My husband and I have been struggling for years. Once we get a head something always ends up setting us back. Due to my mental Heath I am unable to work and I’m in the lengthy process of trying to get on social security. My husband is already on disability because of his back. We don’t even make it through a month without having to worry about where our next meal is going to come from or how we’re going to money for gas so I can make it to my counseling appointments. We are trying SO hard to get things paid off so we’re no longer in debt. I’m not asking for help with bills, I’m asking for help with food and gas. So anyhow my husband’s doctor pretty much made him leave 13 years of employment because he could no longer do the job nor get another one. So that was a big set back. My husband was getting pain injections into his back which only lasted a few days. The final injection he got caused a rare infection in his spinal cord. He went to the emergency room only to get turned away. They said he was drug seeking. Which was not the case. He went back to the ER and was admitted for “drug seeking” because it was a short time between visits. This time around they did blood tests. They finally figured out he wasn’t drug seeking and told him that if he would’ve waited any longer he would have been septic. Then they rushed him into emergency surgery. They cut his back open from his shoulder blade down to his waist line. He’s 37 years old and can’t walk without a cane. Most days he doesn’t get out of bed because his back is still causing him so much pain that he can’t move. Our bed is the only place he can really be comfortable. Three months after his surgery I had to have surgery on my right wrist due to arthritis (I just turned 41) which is my dominant hand. They removed three bones from wrist and I lost 25% of movement. The surgeon told me that it wouldn’t cause me pain anymore, he was wrong. I can’t write, clean, use a computer, etc etc without my wrist swelling up and causing so much pain. I spend most of the day trying to do what I learned in physical therapy trying to get the swelling down. I can’t borrow anymore money from my family, my husbands family can’t help us. Not to mention that they live 16 hours away and going through their own troubles. So if anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Have a Blessed day.

Heart Need Help Paying Off Debts
Posted by: dimples98 - 11-16-2021, 07:30 AM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

I've been managing with paying my credit cards, car, and personal loans for a good while now and I would say I was at a stable spot. However, my student loans are starting back up again, since the covid grace period ends in January. I have close to $45,000 in student loans. I'm looking to raised at least $9,000 to help pay off my personal loans, and pay off or get my balances down on my credit cards bills I currently have. My student loan bills are going to be around $300-$400+ a month. Simply I can't afford another payment with the job I have currently. But by eliminating the current loans I have and including majority of my credit cards, It will help a lot. The rest I can manage on my own. I want to thank to those whoever donated.

Thank You, and God Bless.

  My Last Hope...
Posted by: DLG1975 - 11-16-2021, 07:21 AM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

Hello, my name is David. I just now learned of this as an option, so in one last cry for help, I pray this will be all I could hope for!

I am currently in the Los Angeles area, where I have been taking care of my mother who had Lupus. I lost my sister and my father last year to COVID, and she was all I had left. She went to join them the night before last, and I am left having to handle all of the funeral arrangements, legalities, etc... My work, which was already slowed down, has been halted by this overwhelming process, and I simply do not have enough money to cover all of my bills.

I am humbly asking for $300.00, payable to my PayPal link provided below, and there are no words in diction that would ever come close to describing my gratitude and blessings for anyone who might could help me with this! I know she is better off where she is now, and I want her to look down and know that I have everything handled. I thank you for reading this, and I'm certain that my mother does, too! God bless you!

Help me avoid eviction before I start new job
Posted by: Sagevans21 - 11-15-2021, 01:39 PM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

Hi, my husband and I usually work as Certified Sterile Processing Technicians, but we are both currently inbetween jobs and trying to avoid eviction before we get our first paychecks. We are signing with AYA to start working contracts asap. Jobs are practically guaranteed and hospitals are offering rates almost double than what they were a year ago so after starting we'll be alright. Now however we're finding it tough getting the funds needed for all of our bills. The most pressing expense is rent, we are unable to cover it, eviction is looming. We are currently doordashing and trying to sell my artwork at: https://society6.com/bombtastic Artwork is available on framed or unframed paper, canvas, wood, and acrylic surfaces. It's also for sale on goods like: face masks, yoga/bath mats, phone cases, and holiday/greeting cards. If any desired artwork isn't yet available, I can add it on by request. I appreciate your time and we both sincerely thank you for your assistance.

Desperate mother of two, under 2…
Posted by: Awesomnicity - 11-15-2021, 08:16 AM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

[attachment=760]Hello, I’m currently in a tough situation that I’m sure others have faced or are currently facing because of expensive childcare, disabilities that hinder working a full time job, and raising two young kids, with little to no help (I can barely breathe from my financial turmoil right now. I no longer have a working vehicle since it’s transmission is shot and I am unfortunately still making monthly payments, while it taunts me from the driveway. I had serious debilitating surgery on my lower lumbar years ago, and was told I may not walk again. Since that diagnosis, I’ve worked and had two beautiful children. It is a crucial developmental time in their lives and I want the best for my children. Even if it has come down to “begging” for money. Christmas is approaching quickly and I’m not one to spoil my children with a lot of material possessions, but to be able to at least know they’ll have something to make their day special. I am also currently taking care of my elderly parents at this time also. It’s been a hard year, especially not being able to provide what I could have normally done when I could work full time and not have to worry over bills being paid late and ultimately living paycheck to paycheck. It’s been a physical and emotional trauma. I do hate to beg, but I’ve tried all that I can (babysitting for friends, selling what I can to make some grocery money, (I am so thankful for WIC) I even have to borrow a friends car just to make sure my parents are getting their groceries and medicine. If anyone has any spare change, anything would help. Thank you! My cash tag is $Awesomnicity

  Not my year ?
Posted by: Theresa73 - 11-14-2021, 09:10 PM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

Hello I’m Theresa and I’m 48yr old mother of an 8 yr old and have worked all my life I recently had to stop working my overnight freight unloading job at a retail pharmacy due to arthritis in both my knees and have totally drained all my savings and unemployment resources. I have been applying to jobs that are more sedentary with absolutely no luck. I applied for ssdi (disability) and was turned down because “ I could get a job that I could be sedentary at and only lift up to 10 lbs”. I am in serious need to cover bills this month while I try to figure out what to do next. I’ve totaled them up and about $900 would cover most necessaries for this month if anyone would be willing to help. Thank you in advance. Theresa ❤️

Please help survive a medical situation and finally get home
Posted by: triangular - 11-14-2021, 01:17 PM - Forum: My Request for Help - No Replies

Hello. It's taken time to be humbled to ask for help like this. Please be kind.

I don't want to complicate things with many details, so if you have questions just ask. I'm 53 and been working overseas for several years. Not exotic as it might sound, just a decent life. Around the time of Covid I was diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB), and been very sick ever since. I went through a 9 month treatment with powerful antibiotics that kept me very ill the whole time. Afterwards my breathing kept getting worse, and then found I still have a strenuous pulmonary infection from the same TB family. So I'm back on the hard meds again and currently require supplemental oxygen to breathe throughout most of the day.

During this time the company I worked for had financial problems and disappeared. Because I was ill for so long and no one contacted me, I made a mistake about the visa expiration date. Now I'm correcting this with a temporary medical extension of stay, but there are costs involved that will have to come out of rent money.

Throughout most of my treatment I had a decent savings and spent only on meds, hospitals and rent while travel restrictions have been in place the whole time for Covid. But by my 2nd diagnosis it was mostly all gone. Family and friends were the first to help, but many have hard times after Covid. Needing oxygen and continuing treatment as I do, if I find myself unable to pay rent in a foreign country it could become life threatening very quickly. It's clear I can't fly without oxygen, and airlines do not provide this. They do allow certain models of portable, battery powered O2 concentrators with 1.5X battery power of the total flight duration, but these are difficult to source and cost roughly USD $3k.

What I urgently need now is temporary help with rent and continuing meds, and any help towards acquiring one of the airline approved portable O2 units that could help me finally get back home. If I could make it home, family can at least help with basic needs and survival. If you can see it within your heart to help donate, I will definitely pay it forward when possible. Thank you for reading this far.
